Bruno Floriani co-Chairs the firm’s Franchising, Licensing and Technology Group. He is a leading practitioner in business law, franchise law and technology law, and has a special expertise in assisting Canadian, US and European clients to expand internationally in over 40 countries using franchise, licensing, joint venture, distribution and other hybrid arrangements. He advises foreign franchisors and licensors in entering the Canadian market. He has lectured at various conferences in many countries and has written in various national and international legal journals and trade periodicals. He was appointed by, and writes quarterly for, the International Law Office, an internet newsletter, as its exclusive contributor in the area of Canadian franchise law. He is the editor of the multinational annual practical guide Getting the Deal Through: Licensing since 2009 and the Canadian contributor to Getting the Deal Through: Franchising since 2008. Bruno is recognized in Canada and abroad as a leading practitioner in Canada and Québec by The Best Lawyers in Canada, 2008–2015 editions, as one of the best lawyers in the technology law sector, and by the International Who’s Who of Franchise Lawyers and Who's Who Legal: Canada 2009–2014 in franchise law.
