Practice includes civil and regulatory litigation, construction law, transportation, insurance and corporate commercial law. Bill has written articles and participated in seminars dealing with litigation, construction law, corporate governance and shareholder rights. He has appeared as counsel before all levels of court in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Northwest Territories, as well as agencies, boards and tribunals, and in arbitrations. Fellow of the ACTL, founding Fellow and former Governor of the CCCL and Fellow of CIArb. Member of the LSA, EBA, Alberta BA, CBA, BANWT. Past chair of the CBA Construction Law Section for northern Alberta. Past director of the Alberta Chamber of Resources. Past member of the LSA Insurance Committee and LSA Audit and Finance Committees and former member of the Board of Directors, Legal Aid Society of Alberta. Admitted to the Alberta Bar, 1974; the Northwest Territories Bar, 1982; the Saskatchewan Bar, 2012; the Manitoba Bar, 2017; and appointed QC, 1994.
