CGI Group Signs Outsourcing Contract

On July 14, 2003, CGI Group Inc. signed a seven-year outsourcing contract valued at $210 million to provide information technology services to Bombardier Aerospace. Under this contract CGI will be responsible for the following Canadian IT services: related legacy application services, user desktop management and helpdesk to all Bombardier Aerospace’s Canadian users, and data centre and infrastructure services for Bombardier’s Toronto site.

CGI was represented in-house by Raymond Picard, vice-president, IT law, and by Patrice Martin of Borden Ladner Gervais LLP. Bombardier Aerospace was represented in-house by Stéphane Hébert, director, legal, and Daniel Desjardins, vice-president, legal; and Daniel Desjardins, vice-president, legal; and by Daniel Paul, Marc A. Tremblay and Robert Percival of Ogilvy Renault.
