Dentons partner appointed broadcasting arbitrator by Canada's chief electoral officer

Dentons Canada LLP announced that its partner, Monica Song, has been appointed as broadcasting arbitrator by the chief electoral officer of Canada. 

Song, who is chairperson of the firm’s communications law group and its regulatory practice in Ottawa, focuses on assisting her clients in the dynamic electronic communications sector on various regulatory, transactional, commercial, legislative reform and policy matters.

The registered political parties represented in the House of Commons unanimously recommended Song’s appointment to the role. In this position, her duties will include allocating broadcasting time, notifying and issuing guidelines to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission and resolving disputes relating to these matters.
