Fogler, Rubinoff LLP announced that Kevin Shipley has joined the firm as partner in its Toronto office, effective Jan. 6. Shipley has joined the firm’s intellectual property group. Called to the bar in 2008, his practice focuses on patent prosecution and intellectual property portfolio strategy and management.
Shipley has experience in the areas of large-scale freedom-to-operate and product launch or clearance projects, as well as aggressive patent portfolio mining and offensive patent filing projects. He has advised clients in relation to patent validity and infringement issues, intellectual property licenses, confidentiality agreements and other intellectual-property-related agreements.
