Gentra Borrows $110M from CDPQ

CDPQ Mortgage Corporation, out of Montreal, recently opened up their coffers and lent Gentra Canada Investments Inc. in excess of $110 million on the security of several of Gentra’s top-quality mortgage loans. The Gentra mortgage portfolio involved 13 groups of loans and 31 properties stretching from New Brunswick to British Columbia.

Lead counsel for CDPQ was Mark Brennan of Donahue Ernst & Young LLP with assistance from Dawn Waters. The Gentra team was headed up by Thomas Macdonald of Goodman Phillips & Vineberg with assistance from Monica Mraz and Joel Schachter.
