Glamis Gold Completes Equity Offering

Glamis Gold Ltd., a gold producer with mines in California, Nevada and Honduras, completed a $57.5 million equity offering on November 9, 2001. Glamis is a B.C. company with its head office in Reno, Nevada. Ten million common shares, at $5 per share, were taken down by the Toronto underwriting group, comprised of Research Capital Corporation, BMO Nesbitt Burns, Inc. and National Bank Financial Inc., on October 30, 2001 and an over-allotment option for 1.5 million common shares at $5 each was exercised on November 9, 2001. The offering was registered in all provinces of Canada and with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Lang Michener in Vancouver is Glamis’s Canadian counsel and acted as lead counsel for the offering. The Lang Michener team was comprised of G. Barry Finlayson, Charlotte A. Olsen and Sharon Wong. The underwriters’ counsel for the offering was Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP of Toronto. The Cassesl Brock team was comprised of Norman Findlay, Howard Burshtein and Chad Accursi (securities) and Andrew Reback (tax).
