Northview Apartment REIT announces agreement to be acquired by Starlight Group Property Holdings Inc. and KingSett Capital Inc.

Goodmans LLP is representing the Special Committee of Northview Apartment REIT (the REIT) in connection with the acquisition of Northview Apartment REIT by affiliates of Starlight Group Property Holdings Inc. and KingSett Capital Inc. The transaction involves an offer price of $36.25 per unit of the REIT, pursuant to the terms of an arrangement agreement dated Feb. 19, 2020. The offer price represents a total equity value of approximately $2.5 billion on a fully diluted basis and a total transaction value of approximately $4.8 billion including the assumption of net debt. Northview REIT is one of Canada’s largest publicly traded multi-family REITs with a portfolio of approximately 27,000 residential suites and 1.2 million square feet of commercial space in more than 60 markets across Canada.
