Sino-Forest Completes $201M Bought Deal

On June 12, 2007, Sino-Forest Corporation, a leading foreign owned commercial forestry plantations operator in China, completed an offering, on a “bought deal” basis, of 15.9 million common shares at a price of $12.65 per common share for gross proceeds of approximately $201 million. The common shares were issued pursuant to a short-form prospectus dated June 5, 2007.
The offering was led by Dundee Securities Corporation with an underwriting syndicate comprised of CIBC World Markets Inc., Merrill Lynch Canada, Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (Canada) Inc., UBS Securities Canada Inc. and Haywood Securities Inc.
