Stewart McKelvey has announced the addition of seven partners: Gary Demeulenaere, Allison Whelan, Julie LeBlanc-Hultberg, Renée Fontaine, Chad Sullivan, Sheila Lanctôt and Sophie MacDonald.

Demeulenaere, who practices primarily in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, bankruptcy, receivership and insolvency, insurance, alternative dispute resolution and real property, has rejoined the firm as partner at it’s Charlottetown office.

Whelan is a tax lawyer, practising out of St. John’s.

LeBlanc-Hultberg’s practice focuses on health law, insurance law and professional regulation and works out of the firm’s Moncton office.

Fontaine is a litigator, focused on health law, medical malpractice defence and professional discipline and also practices out of the Moncton office.

Sullivan represents employers in labour, employment, human rights and privacy matters and practices in the firm’s Fredericton office.

Lanctôt practices labour and employment, also in Fredericton.

MacDonald is a family lawyer and litigator and practices in Charlottetown.
