The Carlyle Group Purchases Rexnord

Global private equity firm, The Carlyle Group closed its international purchase, on November 25, 2002, of the Rexnord Corporation, a worldwide manufacturer of highly engineered mechanical power transmission components, from Invensys plc for approximately US$900 million.
