On July 23, 2003, Affinity Identity Programs Inc. (AIP) acquired the logo division of Affinity Express (AE). The value of the deal is confidential. AIP designs, manufactures and supplies college and university logo products, as well as recreational and corporate entities throughout Canada and the U.S. Illumina Partners Inc. (Illumina) and a former member of AE’s management team recently formed AIP to facilitate the buyout of AE’s logo division. Toronto-based Illumina, specializes in corporate turnarounds, with a primary interest in acquiring equity positions in small- to medium-sized companies that require repositioning.
