Andritz Purchases ABB Drying Assets and Liabilities

Andritz purchased certain assets and liabilities of ABB Drying, a leading supplier of pulp drying lines, on December 6, 2002. The value of the deal is undisclosed. The publicly-listed Andritz Group, is a leader for advanced production systems and services for pulp and paper, steel and other special industries (environment and feed technology). ABB Drying was operated as an integrated division of ABB Asea Brown Boveri Ltd., primarily through subsidiaries in Montreal, Helsinki and Växjö, Sweden.
