On July 1, 2009, Anooraq Resources Corporation acquired an effective 51 per cent interest in the Lebowa Platinum Mine from Anglo Platinum Limited for $400 million. The transaction has been implemented in accordance with the terms and conditions of the agreements entered into between, inter alia, Anooraq and Anglo Platinum. The transaction was approved by regulatory authorities and was subject to shareholders approvals.
