On July 30, 2003, Antrim Energy Inc. became the first Canadian and second international company to list on AIM using the new fast-track admission process. Antrim, listed on the TSX, is a global oil and gas exploration and production company based in Calgary with properties and current exploration activities in Argentina, Australia, Tunisia, Tanzania and onshore U.K. In connection with the AIM listing, Canaccord Capital (Europe) Limited was appointed as the company’s nominated advisor and broker.
Antrim was represented in Canada by Burstall Winger LLP, with a team that included Jay Zammit and Janice Pasay in Calgary; and in the U.K. by McGrigor Donald, with a team that included Paul Davidson and Emma Rees on English law. Canaccord was represented in Canada and in the U.K. by McCarthy Tétrault LLP in London and Calgary, with a team led by Robert Brant, Karl Tabbakh, James Channo and Mark Tysowski.
