During the period of April 4, 2011 to April 29, 2011, Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (BAM) entered into new revolving credit facilities in the aggregate principal amount of US$1,785,000,000, including a new syndicated revolving credit facility in the principal amount of US$410 million and bilateral revolving credit facilities for the balance.
The syndicated credit facility was agented by Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, as administrative agent, and Royal Bank of Canada, as syndication agent, and is being made available by a syndicate of 10 financial institutions led by Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and RBC Capital Markets, as co-lead arrangers and joint bookrunners. BAM also entered into bilateral credit agreements with 17 banks and other financial institutions providing for the bilateral credit facilities.
