Bell Zinc Corporation has purchased all the assets of Onvia.com, the Canadian subsidiary of the US company by the same name. Bell Zinc Corporation, a sbsidiary of Bell Canada, is a business-to-business portal designed especially for small- and medium-sized businesses. In addition, Bell Zinc licensed the Canadian Onvia.com brand name from the US parent. The purchase date was July 12, 2001, but the amount was undisclosed.
