On July 15, 2004, Bendigo Mining NL, an Australian gold mining company, closed a global equity offering in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia, which raised A$100 million. It was the largest ever equity financing for a mining company based in Victoria, Australia. The placement agents were CIBC World Markets, Inc. and Austock Limited.
