Bank of Montreal completed the acquisition – announced January 28, 2014 – of F&C Asset Management plc through its wholly owned subsidiary, BMO Global Asset Management (Europe) Limited, for $1.3 billion. The acquisition was structured as a scheme of arrangement under UK law.
