On April 1, 2003, BOC Canada Limited in Mississauga, Ontario, a member of Brampton, Ontario-based The BOC Group, acquired the assets of Air Products Canada Ltd. The purchase price was $65 million, with $60 million paid on closing and $5 million to be paid in instalments within three years of the closing provided certain performance criteria are met. The acquired assets include filling plants located in Quebec, Ontario and Alberta.
