Caithness Wind Power Projects Are Refinanced

On October 8, 2003, Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada and Clean Power Operating Trust completed a refinancing of the Foote Creek II, Foote Creek IV, Peetz Table, Texas Big Spring and Chandler wind power projects located in the U.S. The refinancing included a $56.97 million loan made by Sun Life and a $17.85 million loan made by Clean Power. The six projects, which have an aggregate capacity of 109 megawatts, are owned by affiliates of Caithness Energy. LLC in New York. Financial advisory services were provided to Sun Life and Clean Power by Probyn & Company Inc.
