Canadian Natural Resources Limited, one of Canada’s largest independent oil and gas producers, has acquired all shares of Chesapeake Canada Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Chesapeake Energy Corporation, for $232 million, plus working capital. The deal closed on October 1, 2001.
