Computershare Investor Services Inc. (Computershare) has purchased the transfer agency and corporate trust business from Montreal Trust Company and Montreal Trust Company of Canada. The purchase was completed on June 30, 2000. The transaction was structured as an asset purchase, although the parties have also entered into various agreements that require Montreal Trust to continue to provide certain services during the time it will take to transition the business (including the clients) to the new purchaser.
