On April 2, 2004, CPP Investment Board committed US$100 million to Paul Capital Partners VIII, LP, a San Francisco and New York-based fund of funds that invests in private equity funds in secondary transactions. The Fund held its first closing on April 2, 2004 and is expected to raise a total of US$950 million.
