On December 23, 2004, Crystallex International Corp. completed a US$100 million offering of units. Each unit comprised US$1,000 principal amount of senior unsecured notes due December 23, 2011 and 65 common shares of Crystallex. The notes bear interest at the rate of 9.375 per cent per year. The units separated into notes and common shares immediately upon issuance.
The offering was underwritten by a syndicate of underwriters led by Orion Securities Inc. and Sprott Securities Inc. and including McFarlane Gordon Inc., Haywood Securities Inc., Loewen Ondaatje McCutcheon Ltd. and Maison Placements Canada Inc.
