On November 18, 2003, Domtar Inc. closed a public offering of US$350 million principal amount of 5.375 per cent notes due on December 1, 2013. The offering was made in the US under the multijurisdictional disclosure system and was completed further to a prospectus supplement to its November 7 short form base shelf prospectus. The net proceeds of the offering were used to repay a portion of outstanding indebtedness under Domtar’s bank term loan. The debt securities were offered through an underwriting syndicate led by JP Morgan Securities Inc.
