The Province of British Columbia, as represented by the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure, the B.C. Transportation Financing Authority and EGRT Construction, an affiliate of SNC-Lavalin Capital Inc., entered into an $889 million design, build, finance agreement for the construction of the Evergreen Line Rapid Transit Project.
The design, build, finance agreement is the key contract in the $1.4 billion Evergreen Line Project, a new rapid transit line that will connect Coquitlam to Vancouver via Port Moody and Burnaby.
The contractor team was co-ordinated by SNC-Lavalin Capital Inc. The primary contractor for the project is EGRT Construction. EGRT Construction has engaged a number of subcontractors for the design and construction of the Evergreen Line, including SNC-Lavalin Constructors (Pacific) Inc., SNC-Lavalin Constructors (Western) Inc., Graham Building Services, a joint venture comprising Graham Building Services LP and Jardeg Construction Services Ltd., SELI Canada Inc. and Thales Canada Inc.
The Province and BCTFA were represented by James Harvey of the Ministry of Justice of British Columbia, Brock Johnston, Allyson Baker and Maggie Cavallin of Clark Wilson LLP, and Bobby Stewart of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP.
