Financement-Quebec Sets Up US MTN Program

Financement-Québec set up a US medium term note program on December 4, 2003. The syndicate of underwriters for the offering of up to US$1.5 billion notes, series A, due nine months or more from the date of issue, was led by Merrill Lynch & Co., Credit Suisse First Boston, Citigroup and JPMorgan Chase & Co.

Financement-Québec was represented by Pierre Sauvé and Bernard Blouin of Bélanger Sauvé. The underwriters were represented in Canada by Angelo Noce (corporate) and Jules Charette (tax) of Ogilvy Renault; and in the US by Robert Buckholz, Jr., and Karlo Giannascoli of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York.
