First Capital (Meadowvale) Corp. completed, on December 2, 2003, a $36 million first mortgage loan financing with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company in connection with its purchase of the Meadowvale Town Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.
First Capital was represented by Torys LLP, with a team that included Rose Bailey, Steven Blackburn and Ken Fone. Metropolitan Life Insurance, the purchaser’s lender, provided first mortgage financing for the purchase, and was represented by in-house counsel Lisa Vahdat in New York; and by George Valentini (commercial property) of Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP in Toronto.
