On April 16, 2004, Fording Canadian Coal Trust completed a bought deal offering of 2 million units at $52.50 per unit for gross proceeds of $105 million. The offering was underwritten by a syndicate of underwriters led by RBC Dominion Securities Inc. and which included CIBC World Markets Inc., Scotia Capital Inc., BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc., National Bank Financial Inc., TD Securities Inc. and Salman Partners Inc.
