On January 16, 2008, Galleon Energy Inc. (“Galleon”) completed the acquisition of all of the outstanding common shares of ExAlta Energy Inc. (“ExAlta”) pursuant to a Plan of Arrangement, for total consideration of approximately $110 million. Galleon is a growth-oriented oil and gas company with focused operations in the Peace River area of Alberta.
