GE Water & Process Technologies Acquires ZENON Environmental

On May 31, 2006, GE Water & Process Technologies, a unit of General Electric Company, completed its acquisition of ZENON Environmental Inc. for $24 per share, valuing the transaction at approximately $760 million (US$656 million). GMP Securities L.P. and J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. were financial advisors to the special committee of ZENON's board of directors.
ZENON, based in Oakville, Ontario, is a global pioneer and supplier of hollow fibre membrane technologies for water and wastewater treatment. GE Water & Process Technologies, based in Trevose, Pennsylvania, is a leading global supplier of water treatment, wastewater treatment and process systems solutions.
