Gennum Corp., a producer of silicon integrated circuits and hybrid circuits for the video and hearing instrument markets, purchased from Ottawa-based SiGe Semiconductor Inc. intellectual property and product-related assets associated with SiGe’s LightCharger® portfolio of optical networking integrated circuits. The UK-based development team also joined Gennum. The transaction closed on May 10, 2004 and the amount is undisclosed.
