Getinge Acquires BHM Medical

On October 1, 2004, BHM, a subsidiary of Sweden-based Getinge AB, completed its acquisition of BHM Medical Inc. (BHM Medical), based in Magog, Quebec. The purchase price is confidential.
Getinge is a world leader in the development, manufacturing and distribution of medical technical products. BHM Medical is a world leader in the development, manufacturing and distribution of patient handling equipment. BHM Medical becomes a key strategic element of Getinge’s extended care division.

Getinge was represented by Stikeman Elliott LLP, with the assistance of Mannheimer Swartling in Sweden and Stewart McKelvey Stirling Scales (SMSS) in New Brunswick.
