GMP Capital Corp. completed its conversion into an income fund by way of a plan of arrangement on December 1, 2005. Approximately 29 million shares were exchanged for units of GMP Capital Trust or exchangeable limited partner units of Griffiths McBurney LP valued at over $1 billion. Contemporeaneously with the conversion, GMP Private Client Ltd. (the full-service investment subsidiary of GMP Capital Corp. focused on high net worth private individuals) was reorganized.
