GSI Lumonics (GSI), a producer of laser-based manufacturing systems and components, completed on April 17, 2000, the public offering of 4,000,000 shares of common stock in the U.S. and Canada at a price of US$17.00 per share for total gross proceeds of US$68 million. On May 2, 2000, GSI announced the completion of the sale of an additional 300,000 common shares issued pursuant to an option exercised by the underwriting group.
