Husky Energy Inc. filed a US$1 billion base shelf prospectus on June 14, 2002. Under the prospectus the company issued US$400 million of 6.25 per cent notes due in 2012. The public offering was completed by a syndicate of underwriters led by Salomon Smith Barney Inc.
