Icomera succeeds in bid to install Wi-fi solutions on Ontario’s GO Transit fleet of vehicles

Icomera succeeded in its bid to install Wi-fi solutions on Ontario’s GO Transit fleet of vehicles. Metrolinx, the transportation authority serving Ontario, announced in September 2019 that it had selected Icomera to provide an end-to-end Wi-Fi solution for GO Transit’s passengers, creating an elevated onboard experience. Metrolinx launched the first GO Transit buses and trains equipped with Icomera’s centralized connectivity network platform. This large-scale project involved 1,475 installations across GO Transit’s entire fleet (943 train cars and 532 buses).

Metrolinx is an Ontario government agency created to improve the coordination and integration of all modes of transportation in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton area.
