On July 4, 2003, Vancouver-based International Curator Resources Ltd., a gold exploration company focused on assembling a portfolio of Canadian gold projects completed its takeover bid for all the common shares of Royal County Minerals Corp., a mineral exploration company with a focus on precious metals in B.C. The takeover was completed on the basis of four common shares of the International Curator for each common share of Royal County tendered to the bid. The value of the deal is undisclosed.
Since International Curator acquired more than 90 per cent of the outstanding Royal County shares, international Curator is proceeding with the statutory acquisition of the Royal County shares that it does not already own.
International Curator was represented by John Craig and Lori Prokopich of Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP. Royal County was represented by David Ashby in Vancouver.
