On August 26, 2003, InterOil Corporation, a Papua New Guinea focused oil and gas company, completed an underwritten private placement of subscription receipts for total gross proceeds of $68.75 million. InterOil issued subscription receipts, each of which represented the right to obtain one common share, pending shareholder approval of the issuance in accordance with certain rules of the Australian Stock Exchange. These approvals were obtained on September 11 and all subscription receipts were exercised for common shares of InterOil. Peters & Co. Limited and Westwind Partners Inc. led the underwriting syndicate, which included BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. and Jennings Capital Inc.
