On July 9, 2004, following shareholder approval, Jumbo Entertainment Inc. completed its previously announced sale of substantially all of its assets to Le SuperClub Vidéotron Ltee for $6.8 million. These assets included the Jumbo Video®, Jumbo Video New Releases®, Microplay® and Starstruck® video and game rental retail systems. Le SuperClub Vidéotron, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Videotron ltée, itself a wholly-owned subsidiary of Quebecor Media Inc., is the largest chain of video stores in Québec.
