Lions Gate Entertainment Completes Equity Offering

On October 15, 2003, Vancouver-based Lions Gate Entertainment Corp. completed an equity offering of 25 million common shares for gross proceeds of US$67.5 million. The offering was registered in the U.S. with a prospectus filed in B.C. to qualify the U.S. distribution of the shares. Private placement sales were also made in Canada. SG Cowen Securities Corporation was the lead manager of the offering, and Natexis Bleichroeder Inc. and Thomas Weisel Partners LLC acted as co-managers.
