In March, 2000, Royal Bank of Canada acted as Lead Arranger, Bookrunner and Administrative Agent on syndicated senior secured credit facilities totaling $190 million being made available to MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (MacDonald), a premier player in Canada’s space program and a fast-charging e-commerce company. The transaction represents MacDonald’s core corporate financing which follows on from its recent acquisitions, including BC Online (the on-line search facility for real and personal property, corporate and other information maintained by the Province), the Robotics Division of Spar Aerospace and Dataquick.
