Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Issues Senior Secured Notes

On August 12, 2003, Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Ltd. (MLSE), a privately held company that owns the Toronto Maple Leafs, the Toronto Raptors and the Air Canada Centre, issued senior secured notes to a group of U.S. and Canadian institutional investors. The value of the deal is undisclosed. TD Securities Inc. acted as agent for the offering. Concurrently, MLSE also put in place an operating credit facility with TD Bank and The Bank of Nova Scotia.
