On September 21, 2000, MDS Inc., the largest health and sciences corporation in Canada, confirmed the completion of its previously announced equity financing agreement. The deal, completed on a bought deal basis, involved the issue of 3,250,000 common shares at a price of $61.00 per share, for gross proceeds of $198,250,000. MDS is the largest health and life sciences corporation in Canada with 1999 net revenues of $1.2 billion.
