On January 3, 2006, Bison Resources Ltd., an Alberta-based public corporation actively engaged in the exploration, development, acquisition and production of oil and natural gas in Western Canada, completed its plan of arrangement with Mission Oil & Gas Inc. whereby Mission acquired all of the issued and outstanding shares of Bison for a combination of cash and common shares of Mission, an approximate value of $113 million. The transaction consolidates ownership and operations in the Bakken light sweet oil play discovered by Bison in 2003.
