MSC ACQUIRES NA DISTRIBUTION BUSINESS OF BARNES GROUP FOR $550M

Industrial products distributor MSC Industrial Direct Co., Inc. completed its US$550-million acquisition of the North American distribution business of Barnes Group Inc., gaining access to the metalworking and maintenance, repair and operations market in Canada.

MSC was represented in the US by Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP with a team that included Jeffrey Ostrager, Andrew Smith and Douglas Glazer (corporate) and Marty Forman (real estate).
