Effective January 1, 2005, New Horizon Systems Solutions and Bruce Power LP signed an amendment to their existing Information Technology Services Agreement to add additional business and extend the term through to 2018 with an option for a further six years and to provide greater flexibility for the expansion of services. The value of the deal is not disclosed. Since 2001, New Horizon has provided Bruce Power with infrastructure and network services, data centre operations, ERP and custom application management, IT security and disaster recovery services. Bruce Power is a partnership among Cameco Corp. (31.6 per cent), TransCanada Corp. (31.6 per cent), BPC Generation Infrastructure Trust, a trust established by the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (31.6 per cent), the Power Workers’ Union (4 per cent) and the Society of Energy Professionals (1.2 per cent). New Horizon is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Capgemini Canada Inc., one of the world’s largest consulting, technology and outsourcing providers.
