On March 11, 2002, Nexen Inc. completed a US$500 million offering of 7.875 per cent notes due on March 15, 2032. Nexen, formerly Canadian Occidental Petroleum Ltd., is a global energy and chemicals producer incorporated under the laws of Canada. The offering was underwritten by Banc of America Securities LLC and Deutsche Bank Alex. Brown.
