On October 2, 2006, in a transaction valued at approximately US$472 million, Open Text Corporation acquired all of the issued and outstanding shares of Hummingbird Ltd. at a price of US$27.85 per common share payable in cash. The transaction was carried out by way of a statutory plan of arrangement. Open Text is a leading provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software solutions that bring together people, processes and information in global organizations.
